{"id":217,"date":"2016-05-04T13:51:32","date_gmt":"2016-05-04T17:51:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.juliafreeman.ca\/blog\/?p=217"},"modified":"2016-05-04T13:52:58","modified_gmt":"2016-05-04T17:52:58","slug":"home-sales-remain-at-record-levels-across-metro-vancouver-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.juliafreeman.ca\/blog\/2016\/05\/home-sales-remain-at-record-levels-across-metro-vancouver-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Home Sales Remain at Record Levels across Metro Vancouver"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Last month was the highest selling April on record for\u00a0Metro Vancouver.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>April sales were 41.7 per cent above the 10-year sales average for the month.\u00a0Residential property sales in the region totalled 4,781 in April 2016, an increase of 14.4 per cent\u00a0from the 4,179 sales recorded in April 2015 and a decrease of 7.6 per cent compared to March\u00a02016 when 5,173 homes sold.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cHome buyer competition remains intense across the region,\u201d Dan Morrison, REBGV president\u00a0said. \u201cWhether you\u2019re a home buyer or seller, it\u2019s important to work with your local\u00a0REALTOR\u00ae to get the information you need and to develop a strategy that will help you\u00a0navigate today\u2019s market.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>New listings for detached, attached and apartment properties in Metro Vancouver totalled 6,127\u00a0in April 2016.
